Former Communication Minister, Dr Edward Omane Boamah has asked Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to critically 'consider' the proposed project to use drones to distribute essential drugs and blood to remote areas of the country.
The Minority members of Parliament have kicked against the $12 million contract between government and Zipline International for the drones.
However, Government has debunked claims by the Minority that it was purchasing drones under the Ministry of Health Ghana Drone Delivery Project.
The Director General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Nsiah Asare also said government was not purchasing drones as widely speculated by the minority and sections of the media.
“We bear no risk for the installation, the operation is not to our cost, a contract is purely a service contract,” he stated.
But in a comment on his facebook wall, Omane Boamah asked Bawumia to "please consider the following":
1. Cost Benefit Analysis;
2. Cost Utility Analysis &
3. Cost Quality Analysis.

Kofi Adamu, Togo is on cause leave our country for us to build, nea ade3 wo mo na odi, ny3 nea okum de no! Ghanaians have chosen their choice who is an authentic and real native of Ghana from the Eastern region no bend no curve, he knows what is best for our country, he knows what the freedom fighters were about and knows what is good for his people, Ghana wasn't created to be destroyed by ndc formed for foreigners ,Ghana is for Ghanaians and only Ghanaians alone. Kofi Adamu, Eyadema's family has made Togo's economy stable by being patriotic to their country,by taking Togo first and believing in Togo, if Ghana is hot for you just leave, Ghana is not for dissidents , if you a good person you would have enjoyed in your country, don't spoil our Ghana for us, we are on track, our country is in good hands whosoever think otherwise just pack your baggage and leave since NPP ain't going anywhere. I don't blame Omane Boamah ,if you use 3 years for High school and 5 years for medicine what kind of Doctor will you be? you will choose politics over your profession because he is just like in the 70s Registered nurse. Ndc should never compare themselves to Dr Bawumiah because the more they do that the more they expose their igno*rance and st*upidity. Dr Bawumiah is loved by Ghanaians for his intelligence, humility and civility he is not ndc level so ndc pack somewhere because trying to challenge him with empty heads will never help you. Ndc is still not attractive, let me use Goosie Tandoh's word unpalatable!
Sometimes even korle bu ,it difficult getting blood . The best will be to empower the regional and district hospitals to cater for the smaller centers.
Omane Boamah, health policy experts don't work with cost benefit analysis. We talk abt cost effectiveness analysis. That is the kind of ***barred word*** arrogance of the NDC I hate
Omane Boamah, what do you know about medicine? You claim to be a medical officer, ***barred word*** and start analyzing all the projects that the ndc undertook. If you know any medicine like you will be the first to explain the necessity. Shame Go back and practice medicine to learn from those who are on the field. Do you think we are in the dark age? Medicine is not static.
Omane Boamah never make sense,I wonder how he managed to read medicine,because he's weak in his analytical faculty.No wonder he's not practicing!
Negativity and backwardness will destroy this party called NDC.
Did you ask these questions on the bus branding? Nsemfo I blame Gloria Akuffo making criminals walk free and giving us lectures
The greedy NPP government is using clever tricks to milk Ghanaians. Why will they jump to sign contracts on drones to distribute blood? Where are the ambulances, medicines, medical staff, roads to link the hinterland and above all the payment of arrears to workers who have worked for so many months without any remuneration? At the end of it all, when we come to write the history of Ghana, the extent to which this greedy NPP government has milked Ghanaians will be known to one and all.
The ndc should try to be patriotic Ghanians
Don't disgrace Kwahus. What analysis at all did you do in government. Shame.
