Ghana is set to participate in her first World Amateur Golf Championship (WAGC) beginning in Karuizawa, Japan on Friday.
A three-member team will take part in the men�s competition with about 72 countries in attendance for the men�s Eisenhower trophy.
The golfers, Daniel List (golfer of the Year 2013), Maxwell Bonsu (Royal Golf Club), Peter Amenyor (Tema Country Golf Club) are accompanied by Felix Frempong, Team Captain and leader.
The WATC is a four-day amateur championship for three players which makes it a 72-hole competition with the scoring comprising of two best scores each day over the period.
The tournament also coincides with the biennial conference of the International Golf Federation (IGF) where Ghana will be represented by Frempong and Mariko Onwona-Agyeman.
